Kate finds her inspiration in the nature of the Blue Mountains where she lives and paints overlaying rhythmic forms are created by line and colour, evoking a musicality in her artworks. This semi-abstract piece depicts Australian native flora and bird life. There is a sense of joyful wonder in Kate’s playful nature series of Banksia.
